POWER DRESSING

Dressing up for work is a daunting task for me. I hate investing my hard earned cash for "Work Clothes" since there are no cute guys at work that i can impress (ahem!!). But on a serious note, i have a close fren at work who drilled some sense into me one day and pointed out that since we spend a major part of our life Working (..urghhh!!) why not be well dressed. When you are well dressed at work, it makes you feel confident, powerful, happy and strangely enough, even your co-workers respect you more and tend to look up to you!!!

Here are some things to remember while picking up work clothes

No.1- Clean Lines!!

So many times women (as well as men )wear clothes that are ill fitting. While its tempting to grab the first thing that you can lay your hands on while you are pressed for time, nothing ruins your attire as well as your personality than ill fitting clothes, whether its baggy or too tight.

No.2- Find yourself a Good Tailor!!

A good tailor is Godsent. Lets face it..we ain't no Carrie Bradshaw (though we'd like to be..agree??) and neither can we afford a Diane Von Frustenburg worksuit to office everyday, atleast i cannot. That's when our knight in shining armor a.k.a The Tailor comes to the rescue. The local tailor may not be as good as the people down in Giorgio Armani but if Karma is on your side, he may do a pretty decent job!!

Product Review- The Body Shop SPICED PUMPKIN SHOWER GEL

Anybody who is close to me knows how i feel about getting up early in the morning to go to work. I have a personal best record of sleeping for 12hrs straight (..details on that later..lol!!)
The only good part about waking up these days is my Spiced Pumpkin Shower Gel.

I picked up this bottle while i was loitering around in the mall and boy am i glad!! The shower gel actually smells of a homemade pumpkin pie.
This is how it actually looks when you bring it home :)

Its decently Priced at Rs.340/- (the price was further reduced due to the SALE... )

Studded and Spiked

Hello Frens!! I have been away for a long long time.... n it feels good to be back!!
Today im doing a post on Studs and Spikes. I am totally obsessed with anything and everything that is studded and spiked. I was going through my closet yesterday and then i realized that atleast 40% of my closet had some kind of rivets, studs or spikes on them.. be it belts, shoes, bags jackets.... anything. It was crazy!
Here I have complied a list of the things that are "got to have" in my closet. After this i promise to put an end to my obsession with these metal details.

No.1- Coal and Terry Vintage Cut-offs
Holy Grail of the studded and spiked. If i had enough money, i would buy their entire store. Everytime i look at these cutoffs, im literally submerged in a pool of drool. I esp am loving the ombre ones.

Coal and Terry Vintage ships worldwide and you can check them here: http://www.coalnterryvintage.com/apps/webstore/products/category/555771?page=1

No.2- Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita Boots
I have been in love with Jeffrey Campbell  since forever. I own a pair of  JC Thong platforms and even though they are the tallest pair of footwear in my closet, they are also the most comfortable. Thank you JC for helping Pint-sized people like me. Ever since i got my first pair, i have been lusting over the studded boots but since its way over my budget i guess i will have to wait for a long time before i can lay my hands on them.
